eBay: Social Incubator Experiment

In July of 2015, eBay came to Deep Focus with an interesting ask: 

1) Help them identify and launch a brand presence on more than 14 new and emerging social networks;
2) Create engaging and sharable content on those social networks.

So I led a team that did just that: creating static and video pieces, executing them almost entirely in-house, and directing video content.

We launched on platforms like Flipboard, Kik, Snapchat, Periscope, Reddit, Vine, Google+ and more and took over the content creation and maintenance of channels like YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr.

The Gift They’re Waiting For Is Waiting On eBay

When the holidays come around, every brand or publisher releases a new gift guide. But there's nothing personal about shopping from a gift guide. So to help inspire more thoughtful gift giving, we turned people's attention to eBay by hacking their social channels and creating a series of interactive gift giving experiences.


Wish Bigger

We supported eBay’s “Wish Bigger” campaign by casting a Facebook fan who wanted to create a holiday miracle for his dad.

We continued the campaign by showing people that eBay is the perfect place to get the perfect gift…whatever that gift may be.
